BGHS Picture Day

ATTENTION BOONE GROVE STUDENTS AND STAFF! School pictures will take place next Wednesday August 24th. 

Staff: can begin getting pictures taken at 7:15 a.m.

Virtual Students: can come in at 7:30 a.m. Order and pay online at INTER-STATE.COM/ORDER   (Use Code 50512B)

SENIORS: You do not need to bring in an order form or money. Proofs will be sent home at which time you can order and pay for your pictures online.

***Instructional Support Period  

We have made some alterations to the schedule for this year to allow for instructional support and enrichment of all students. We have a built in time each morning from 7:30am – 8:05am to allow 1st period students to come to class for focused instruction. Any student who maintains grades above a C- is not required to attend the instructional support period, but may attend to help enhance existing understanding.

Freshman & New Student Orientation

Boone Grove High School Freshman & New Student Orientation is Monday, August 3rd from 9am – 12pm and 3pm – 6pm.  Students will pick up iPads, pick up masks, and have time to view the school. There are no specific activities scheduled. It is just come and go as you please. 

Students will not be assigned to lockers unless requested but will be allowed to carry a backpack. Please remember you will need the signed responsible use form (linked below) and an iPad case (last year’s middle school case will work) to pick up your iPad. Schedules will need to be accessed via Harmony ahead of time.  Please enter door J on the south side of the building. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. Hello Parents,

After working with the health department and our staff, we have the details for our week of celebration.  While not ideal or perfect, we have collectively endeavored to formulate the best plan we can.  I would especially like to thank the efforts and flexibility of the junior class officers and sponsors and senior class officers and sponsors.

Location: Boone Grove High School Tennis Court

  • Students need to arrive in cap and gown by 6pm on BGHS baseball field
  •  Please wear appropriate footwear to walk in grassy areas

BGHS Graduation & Prom Update

The health department has approved our dates for a prom experience, July 6th at 6:00PM and Graduation, July 9th at 6:00PM. They stressed that what exactly these things can look like will depend largely on the way virus data plays out; consequently, we will share more details about the events as the dates approach and we have more of a clear picture.

BGHS Locker Clean Out & Book Drop Off

Important details for pickup:

  • Only one adult may accompany students (adults do not have to attend though)
  • Sign up for a slot please use a slot for each person going into the building
  • Slots are first come first served
  • Please bring any textbooks so they can be returned.  
  • ONLY SENIORS need to return ipads, everyone else will keep them over the summer
  • You must be symptom free from illness and not have been exposed to COVID virus
  • You must wear a mask to enter the building- You must bring your own.
  • Do not attend if you are medically compromised and at risk- please contact us if that is the case
  • All social distancing practices must be followed
  • You must enter and exit the building in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Bring a bag for items and all trash. There will not be a trash receptacle in the building
  • Each day runs in 10 minute increments from 9am-3pm.  You must sign up for a time.  This helps us maintain an acceptable amount of people in the building.

Academic Hall of Fame

Congratulations to the Boone Grove High School Class of 2020 Academic Hall of Fame!

Each year Boone Grove High School recognizes students who have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA at the 7th semester of their high school career. These students are commemorated with their senior photo and GPA on a plaque in the Academic Hall of Fame. This is an amazing achievement and we at Boone Grove High School celebrate their successes. Thank you to Winfield American for assisting us in this recognition.
